There was some precedent for this DLC, too, as Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle featured a DLC involving Nintendo's primate protagonist Donkey Kong. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope's season pass and Gold Editions were confirmed earlier this year, which will contain more content after the game's October launch.
Much like the original crossover in 2017, this game sees Mario and his friends team up with the chaotic Rabbids in a turn-based strategy title developed by Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan in collaboration with Nintendo. This announcement was made during the latter company's own Ubisoft Forward 2022 event, which revealed a number of updates for the company's projects and this upcoming sequel. Nintendo and Ubisoft have announced that Rayman-themed DLC will be coming to Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope after the game's launch.
